Installation Information

  1. Disconnect the battery wiring before beginning installation.

  2. Discharge the refrigerant from the AC system according to established service procedures.

  3. Remove the drive belt from the AC compressor pulley.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the AC compressor clutch.

  5. Disconnect the AC lines from the compressor fittings.

  6. Unbolt and remove the old AC compressor from the mounting bracket.

  7. Clean the mounting surface and AC line fittings.

  8. Install the new AC compressor onto the mounting bracket and secure with bolts.

  9. Connect the AC lines to the new compressor fittings and tighten appropriately.

  10. Reconnect the electrical connector to the new compressor clutch.

  11. Install the drive belt onto the new compressor pulley.

  12. Evacuate the AC system to remove air and moisture.

  13. Recharge the AC system with the specified amount and type of refrigerant.

  14. Reconnect the battery wiring.
