A brief introduction to the ETM functionality of PL-398mp:
ETM: Easy Tuning Mode convenient tuning Mode

ETM tuning method 1-using radio receiver receiving circuit and MCU control software, the frequency points without radio programs are excluded in advance, and the frequency points of suspected radio stations are selected, so that it is easy for users to find out the radio programs to be listened to in the future.

It is well known that the frequency range of civil radio broadcasting and the frequency interval of radio stations are usually frequency modulation 87-108 MHZ and frequency interval 0.1 MHz.

Medium wave 522-1620 kHz, frequency interval 9 kHz
Short wave 1700-30000 kHz, frequency interval 5 kHzo
In theory, the frequency points of radio stations allowed in each band are as follows:
FM 87-108 MHz, capable of accommodating frequency points of (108-87) + 0.1 = 210
Medium wave 522-1620 kHz, can hold (1620-522) + 9 = 122 radio frequency points
Shortwave 1700-30000 kHz, can hold (30000-1700) + 5 = 5660 frequency points [PL-398mp shortwave reception frequency points are (21950-2300) + 5 = 3930]

Digitally tuned radios are designed to receive range and frequency step interval in accordance with the above regulations. Using a digitally tuned radio to search for radio stations, from the low end of the frequency to the high end, FM searches for 210 frequency points, medium waves search for 122 frequency points, and shortwave searches for thousands of frequency points.

But in fact, for many reasons, such as preventing temporary interference, not every frequency point has a radio broadcast. For example, if you listen to FM broadcasting in different locations, you will receive a few radio stations and 6070 radio stations; for example, due to the transmission of signals, the distribution of the number of stations is characterized by fewer days and more nights, and only a few-dozens of stations can be received.


Take the shortwave reception of PL-398mp as an example:
There are (21950 2300) + 5 = 3930 frequency points in the shortwave section, but the actual radio programs can be heard in the daytime and hundreds in the evening, and the frequency distribution of the radio stations in the morning, middle and night is almost different. Suppose the radio can receive only 200 radio programs, so in order to find the 200 radio stations, you have to search for 3930 frequency points, which will take a long time to search.

In view of the above problems, Desheng developed an ETM tuning method, using radio reception circuit and MCU control software to exclude the frequency points without radio programs in advance, and select the frequency points of suspected radio stations (such as programs in different countries and languages, including interference signals in the local electromagnetic environment). In other words, dozens of suspected frequency points can be selected from thousands of frequency points by ETM tuning method, and it is easy for users to find out the radio programs you want to listen to from these selected suspected frequency points in future reception operations.
Using ETM convenient tuning method to listen to the broadcast, the frequency of users to search can be reduced to:.

In the middle wave, there are dozens of them each, with fewer days and more nights.
